This year we are so excited to have the Kids Run for Nature join us at Mill Pond Splash!
The Kids’ Run for Nature is a non-competitive 1K and 5K “Fun Run” taking place in a park or green space that raises funds to support the World Wildlife Fund Canada and their conservation efforts to save endangered species in Canada. The Run was created by two girls from Toronto, Jasmine and Jett, because they care about the earth and wanted to get kids and their families involved in our great natural community. They also wanted to support our environment and all the amazing species it holds while getting our bodies active and healthy. You can find out more about the Kids Run for Nature, and Jasmine and Jett on their website.
The run will begin with registration opening at 8am the morning of Mill Pond Splash, starting in Upper Mill Pond Park (off of Willett Cres). After your run, join us for the opening ceremonies for Mill Pond Splash at the Gazebo near Mill Street.
Fees are $10 for the 1K run, and $20 for the 5K run.
